Guide Signs

Guide signs help drivers follow their route and show directions or distances to destinations, including turn-offs to other roads. They can also highlight historic or geographic landmarks, as well as point to tourist spots and motorist services. They're usually rectangular with a horizontal layout where possible. If chevrons are included, one or both ends may be pointed. Route markers and kilometre plates typically appear on shields or distinct shapes. 1
