Saddleworth
Saddleworth is a small town in South Australia's Mid North, on the Barrier Highway and the Gilbert River in the Gilbert Valley. The town was established as a stop on the road to Burra, it was named after the Saddleworth Lodge pastoral station, itself named for a civil parish in Yorkshire, England.
The town's first pub opened in 1846, and the Burra railway line served the town from 1870 until the early 2000s.
