Woodside is a small town in the Adelaide Hills and was settled by Europeans in the mid 1800s. The first European explorers through the Woodside district were Dr George Imlay and John Hill in January 1838.
A quiet rural township, there are several pubs, galleries, antique and secondhand shops and cafés, as well as nearby cellar doors. A country market is held each month and there's a number of small food manufacturers located in the town, plus a swimming pool, library, cricket club, tennis club, netball club, bowls club, and playing fields. Local businesses include Woodside Cheese Wrights and Melba's Chocolate Factory.
