McLaren Vale, situated on the southern outskirts of Adelaide is the premier town in the Southern Vales wine growing region.

The town, totally surrounded by vineyards is situated in a small valley formed from Pedler Creek, and a popular tourism spot which features a fantastic shopping precinct on the colourful main street boasting several quaint coffee and specialty shops. Also in town is the visitors centre to the north of town, wine tasting tours, the historic Hotel McLaren and Salopian Inn and the annual Bushing Festival held in October.
