Woodford, a small town located amongst the D'Aguilar Range and nearby to the Stanley River also lies along the D'Aguilar Highway between Caboolture and Kilcoy. Known for its annual folk festival, the town is otherwise the centre for the surrounding timber, cattle and crop industries. Of interest in the area are Somerset Dam (20 km west) is part of Brisbane's water supply is also a popular reserve with various walking trails and picnic areas, the Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum and also 10 km to the east are the prominent landmarks of the Glasshouse Mountains. For an alternative scenic route to Brisbane, motorists should turnoff the D'Aguilar Highway at the town of D'Aguilar (4 km south) and head south through Mt Mee, Dayboro and Samford (State Route 58) which passes through some spectacular scenery.
