Located on the Bruxner Highway and the Clarence River, Tabulam is a rural village in northeastern New South Wales, between Tenterfield and Casino. The town features several attractions, including the volunteer managed Tabulam Golf Course, local markets featuring stalls with locally made products and produce. Tabulam also plays host to the Blueberry Festival, which was first held in May 2017, as well as the annual Spring Racing Carnival, occurring each year on the Saturday of the October long weekend. Also on offer nearby is white-water rafting, camping, fishing, bushwalking and other nature activities.

Originally, Tabulam and the surrounding farm and bushland were inhabited by Bundjalung people. British colonisation of the land first occurred in 1840. The town's name means "the originals". The town is also the birthplace of Lieutenant General Sir Harry Chauvel of the Light Horse Brigade, and Tabulam was the landing place for Dick Smith and John Wallington's epic Trans-Australian Balloon flight in 1993. ¹
