General Information:
Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Tourist Drive 16 services several rural towns and settlements and passes through a wide range of country including farmland, national parks and bushland reserves and also services rural, industrial and commercial areas. The route takes in an area known as The Scenic Rim, which is formed by a group of forested mountain ranges on the Great Dividing Range. Tourist Drive 16 offers something for everyone and features breathtaking scenery, plenty of activities and festivals, lots of well-renown restaurants, food producers and wineries.
- A15, for 2 km, between Middle Rd (TD16), Purga and Ipswich-Rosewood Rd (SR93), Amberley.
- National Route 13, for 32 km, between Beaudesert and Rathdowney.
- State Route 90, for 18 km, between Tamborine and Beaudesert.

History:
- 2009: The Wallace Creek Bridge, located on Boonah-Rathdowney Road at Boonah, officially named. The original single-lane timber bridge was also replaced with a $2.8 million two-lane concrete structure with new approaches, which designed to improve flood immunity for a 50 year flood event, with a correction of the vertical alignment to remove the hidden dip at the quarry approach road. 4
