General Information:
Nestled in the picturesque Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Tourist Drive 28 weaves its way through several charming small towns and breathtaking landscapes.
Passing through residential, commercial and rural zones, Tourist Drive 28 is comprises of a network of minor roads, and serves as a vital link between several tourist attractions. The route includes several former Pacific Highway alignments at Wardell, Tintenbar, Knockrow, Newrybar, Bangalow and Brunswick Heads. The route also includes a former alignment of Bruxner Highway through Alstonville.

History:
- 27 May 2011: Alstonville Bypass opened to traffic. Bruxner Hwy was relocated from the town centre to the new bypass route, south of the town centre. 2
- May 2012: Former Pacific Hwy alignment renamed Tamarind Dr and TD28 extended between Tintenbar Rd and Pacific Hwy / Ross Ln Interchange. 3
