General Information:

Situated in Country NSW and traversing historic farming landscapes, the Mid Western Highway serves as the most direct route connecting Sydney or Brisbane to Adelaide. It is predominantly two-lane rural highway standard.

National Route 75, for 2 km, Hay.

1928: The Mid Western Highway was proclaimed. ²

1933: The original route of Mid Western Highway from Bathurst to the South Australian border via Euston and Wentworth truncated at Hay with the proclamation of the Sturt Hwy. The Hay to South Australia routing became part of the Sturt Highway. ²

2013: NR24 decommissioned and replaced by A41, B64 and B75.
