General Information:

Located in inner North Canberra, Antill Street is named after the soldier and pioneer settler of New South Wales, Henry Colden Antill (1779-1852), who was the aide-de-camp to Governor Macquarie. ¹ The route is mostly a divided road with 2 lanes in each direction between Northbourne Av (A23) and Phillip Av, between Phillip Av and Federal Hwy (A23) it is mostly undivided with a single lane each way. The road services residential and commercial zones.

22 July 1974: The Department of the Capital Territory modified the traffic lights at the intersection of Northbourne Avenue, Antill Street and the Barton Highway (now Mouat Street) by installing arrow signals. ²

26 July 1974: Arrow signals switched on for traffic turning into Northbourne Avenue from the Barton Highway (now Mouat Street) and Antill Street, bringing the lights into line with most others on Northbourne Avenue. ²
